Rachel serves as Vice President of Program Development for IPMI, leading the organization in the areas of in the areas of strategic partnerships, mobility, sustainability, technology, research, and data analytics. She served as editor for multiple publications, including a volume on sustainability and parking design entitled “Sustainable Parking Design and Management: A Practitioner’s Handbook” and the recent release of “A Guide to Parking,” a new textbook for the industry, and contributed as an author to the chapter addressing sustainability.

She has spearheaded the sustainability movement in the parking industry – leading the development of the first industry-specific rating system for sustainability in parking structures (now known as Parksmart). She provides educational expertise for the Parksmart program, often teaching at IPMI and Greenbuild conferences. In her previous position of more than ten years, she served as Vice President for an architecture firm specializing in the planning, design, and rehabilitation of parking and mixed-use structures. A frequent speaker and author for a variety of publications, she is a graduate of the Georgetown University School of Foreign Service, she has held positions in consulting, engineering, architecture, and construction firms. Rachel resides in the Philadelphia area, and is a busy mom of two amazing kids and one small-ish dog, as well as an avid Spartan and Crossfitter.
