Parksmart is the world’s only sustainability rating system defining and recognizing sustainable practices in parking structure management, programming, design and technology. An industry-driven, field-tested roadmap for new and existing parking structures, Parksmart recognizes the forward-thinking facilities shaping tomorrow’s sustainable mobility network. The program addresses the significant gap between building and sustainability, which is well established, and the links to more efficient modes of transportation and programs that reduce environmental impact and enhance mobility options and amenities.

Parksmart Advisors are trained to offer specialized consulting services to clients and organizations pursuing Parksmart certification for parking structures. The Parksmart Advisor serves as a guide and technical expert on the program. Although Parksmart Advisors are not required for submissions (similar to the role of the LEED Accredited Professional), their training and experience benefit both the certification process and the sustainability decisions and improvements made to parking structures in pursuit of certification.

Developed by parking and transportation professionals, the Parksmart program addresses criteria new to sustainability professionals. Join the ranks of Parksmart Advisors, and register for one of our upcoming Parksmart Advisor training sessions in Washington, D.C., on August 15 or Anaheim, California, on September 27. Interested parking and sustainability consultants, parking operators, garage owners and property managers should attend.
