Is my parking structure eligible for Parksmart?
Any new construction or existing multi-level structure that stores vehicles is eligible for Parksmart certification. This structure may be a stand-alone building or integrated into a mixed-use building (e.g., office building or shopping mall). Projects anywhere in the world may seek Parksmart certification.
Is surface parking eligible for Parksmart?
No, surface parking may not achieve Parksmart certification. However, ancillary surface parking may be included within the project boundary of a parking structure seeking Parksmart certification.
How do I get started with certification?
Email us and request the Parksmart registration form.
You can also review our checklist to see if your parking structure is ready to pursue Parksmart certification. If your facility does—or can do—just 15 of the actions listed in the checklist, it may be a good fit. Begin the certification process by purchasing the Parksmart Certification Standard, the detailed reference manual for the rating system.
