Did you know that the LEED and Parksmart rating systems work hand in hand? Recently, GBCI released the Parksmart and LEED Synergies guidance document, which provides a detailed list of credits within LEED that can also apply toward earning Parksmart certification. 

Last year’s LEEP campaign participants and award winners added roughly 65 million square feet of high-performance lighting in parking facilities and achieved an estimated 60 percent in energy savings. From military bases to residential housing complexes, hospitals to major retail chains, real estate developers to universities, the 2016 award winners represented the best new projects and retrofits in parking facility lighting across the United States.

Does your LEED O+M or BD+C project include a parking structure? If so, you may already be well on your way to also achieving Parksmart certification.

The parking facilities in this East Coast city—and across the country—have long been an egregious land-hog. But that is changing.

Our journey with USGBC as an Education Partner has led IPI to create a new mode of training and delivery platform for our Parksmart Advisor Training. IPI’s newest training delivery option for this program is a blend of a "learn at your own pace" online course and the instructor-led class traditionally offered.
